Aaron is a self-taught glass artist, and has been working glass since 2001. Growing up, Aaron spent much of his time in the woods of New Hampshire, observing nature through his trusty magnifying glass and sometimes setting it on fire. But, it was his first snorkeling trip to the Palancar reefs of Mexico that changed his appreciation for the natural world forever. “Going from the woods of New England to a Tropical Coral Reef was like traveling to an inhabited alien planet. It was so life-changing for me.” His love of nature and fire continue to inspire Aaron’s work as a glass artist. He creates sculpture by manipulating hot glass in the flame of a torch, a style of glassblowing called Flameworking. He now lives and works in Vermont, but he travels back to dive the reefs of Mexico every year.
